On Sunday 12 April 2026, the liberation of the city of Arnhem was commemorated for the second time. At this commemoration, organised by the Committee for the Forgotten Liberation of Arnhem 1945 at Arnhem Town Hall, a wreath was laid on behalf of the Arnhem West Airborne Commemoration Committee by its chair, Henny Kolster, together with the chair of the Arnhem West Airborne Commemoration Youth Committee, Michiel Stütterheim.

In April 1945, during Operation Anger, Walton was a sergeant in the Yorkshire and Lancashire Regiment (Hallamshire Battalion), part of the 49th (West Riding) Division – The Polar Bears, who liberated Arnhem and the West Veluwezoom.
Amanda and Maikel Slotboom, as members of the Committee for the Forgotten Liberation, lay a wreath during the commemoration at Arnhem Town Hall. Both are also members of the Arnhem West Airborne Commemoration Committee. To their left is TFL committee member Gerard Hagen.
